Spravato (Esketamine) Treatmen

What Is Spravato?

Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray used in combination with an oral antidepressant for adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and for certain patients with major depressive disorder with acute suicidal ideation.

Spravato works differently than traditional antidepressants by targeting NMDA receptors in the brain.

It is administered only in a certified medical clinic under direct supervision as required by the FDA REMS program. isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what we believe in. We’re here to create work that matters, led by a shared commitment to quality and care.

How Spravato Treatment Works

Spravato is not taken at home. Each treatment visit includes in-clinic administration, monitoring for a minimum of two hours, blood pressure monitoring, and clinical assessment. Patients must arrange transportation home and may not drive until the following day.

Who May Be Eligible for Spravato?

Patients may be eligible if they have treatment-resistant depression, have tried at least two antidepressants without adequate response, and meet medical safety criteria. Eligibility is determined by a licensed provider following evaluation.

Spravato and Insurance Coverage

Spravato is typically covered by insurance when medical necessity criteria are met. Our clinic assists with benefit verification, prior authorization, and insurance billing. Coverage varies by plan and approval is not guaranteed. Patients may be responsible for copays, coinsurance, or deductibles.

How Insurance Billing Works

Billing may include the Spravato medication, administration, and medical monitoring. Coverage determinations are made by the insurer, not the clinic.

Spravato vs Ketamine Infusion Therapy

Spravato is FDA-approved, insurance-based, nasal, and uses fixed dosing protocols. Ketamine infusions are self-pay, IV or IM, individualized dosing, and not typically insurance-covered.

Important Safety Information

Spravato may cause dissociation, sedation, dizziness, nausea, and increased blood pressure. Patients are monitored closely during each visit.
